Disc Golf Fundraiser for WNC Hurricane Relief
As an exciting kickoff event to NCCBC, all are welcome to join us on Saturday, November 16, for Throwing for Neighbors, a disc golf fundraiser tournament dedicated to supporting our WNC neighbors as they recover from the devastation caused by Hurricane Helene. Building on our Pouring for Neighbors initiative, we’re calling on our NC Beer community to come together for some fun competition to make a lasting impact. Whether you’re a disc golf enthusiast or just want to make a difference, this is your chance to support a meaningful cause. All proceeds from this event will directly support WNC relief funds, helping to rebuild breweries, businesses, and homes in the region.
Event Location & Details
The tournament will take place at The Crossing Disc Golf Course in Winston-Salem, NC, located at 3VGM+GH, Winston-Salem, NC 27107. Only a 10-minute drive from the Benton Convention Center, this fundraiser tournament is a great way to kick off your conference weekend!
The event is scheduled for Saturday, November 16, and promises a day of friendly competition, community, and giving back to our neighbors.
No disc golf experience? No problem! Our tournament is open to all skill levels and has the primary focus of making an impact. You can register in three different categories - beginner, intermediate, or advanced - and the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners in each category will be awarded a prize!

Western North Carolina has long been a heart of the craft beer community, and in the wake of Hurricane Helene, it’s time for us to give back. Now with over 285 participating breweries and retail locations from more than 30 states and territories, Pouring for Neighbors is making a nationwide impact.
By participating in Throwing for Neighbors, you’ll help raise essential funds for relief efforts, supporting both the people and businesses that make WNC special. Your registration fee will be donated directly to disaster relief organizations focused on rebuilding.
In addition to playing in the tournament, you can encourage others to donate to ensure this event has the biggest possible impact on those affected by the hurricane. Together, we can make a difference, one throw at a time!
