Communicating Your Brewery's Experience Through Social Media
This session would essentially be a crash course in social media basics for a micro brewery. My personal philosophy, developed from my experience in the industry and my Bachelor's Degree in Marketing from the University of South Carolina, is that you're doing your brewery justice when you're able to capture that slice of life that is a day in your brewery. Guests go to breweries instead of just buying beer at home because they desire the specific experience that you create. Oftentimes social media is an under utilized tool to in expressing that experience. In my session, I would outline my personal approach to identifying the leading qualities of your brewery to showcase and the basics to help you accomplish the necessary content creation.

Lexie Zielke is the Marketing Manager for Blackbird Brewery and Bird's Nest at Blackbird. She has been a professional in the beer industry for over 4 years post graduating from the University of South Carolina. She earned a dual Bachelor's degree in Marketing and Management with Leadership Distinction in Global Learning. She is proud to have assisted Ian and Harmony VanGundy in opening Blackbird Brewery two and a half years ago and their cocktail concept, Bird's Nest, a year ago. She is excited to share her passion for beer and her marketing philosophy when it comes to communicating to the public what makes your brewery special and unique.
