Leveling Up: Placemaking for Longevity and Stronger Business Communities

In today's retail and restaurant environment, small businesses with staying power are not just good at what they do, they're an essential part of the community. Selling good beer is just the beginning--you've got to connect with current and future customers, stay abreast of trends, and provide a memorable experience that keeps people returning again and again.

In this session, we'll cover the basic elements of placemaking including both income-generating and experience-differentiating activities. Together, we'll walk through mapping out a comprehensive placemaking strategy that includes amplifying your brand and values, leveraging targeted physical improvements, and identifying and connecting with local resources for implementation.

Participants will leave this session with an understanding of how to think strategically about employing placemaking tactics to position your brand for continued success in your local community.
